Is it possible to soak beans for too long? I always use dried beans but this time I let them (black beans) soak for about a day and a half. yikes. I got busy with school and studying and forgot all about cooking them.
I just rinsed the beans and they seem fine. However, prior to rinsing them they smelled not so good and there was a bit of a foam-film on top that smelled terrible.
Seems like cooking them might take care of any worries, but just thought I'd ask to see if anyone had any input.
