wow, that looks AMAZING. i know places in new orleans ship out king cakes all across the u.s. i wish you did, cause i don't think i can not be lazy and make that.

even if they were giant sphincter cakes, they are vegan! vegan sphincters! automatically better than any other kind.

to kittee: i have looked at your king cake recipe before.
and found it very frightening.

OBviously these people are uneducated in the ways of Mardi Gras, no?
I am super highly mega impressed by this feat!
And aside from the fact that even if this looked like a giant weener with jizz coming out... after a few hurricanes, it would look very tasty.

i couldn't find purple sprinkles. if i could've foune purple sprinkles i would have made the icing white and colored it with the sprinkles instead. i think the issue is that the purple looks kidney colored. it's not off-putting at all. i brought my second cake to Endemion today and everyone loved it. The cherry and cheeze fillings made it really moist. usually my cakes are a bit drier when i just do the sugar/margarine filling. i'm really proud of these.

Its kind of like a jelly roll log, or cinnamon roll log, thats made cirrcilar instead of cutting them into buns or individual portions ?
It must taste really good, I love the bright colours, I've never been to mardi gras but I'm sure this would go well with the beads and crazy festivities.

yep, exactly. when you slice it you get the spiral of goodies. i went to a parade today at 12:30 and just got home. it was pretty fun!

i would really suggest doing the cherry and cream cheeze together. it was sooo good. you can use pie filling too, if that easier or you could wonk it with preserves too, i bet that would still be great.
