german chocolate cake recipe from archive=eating icing and photo

I've had a lot of time on my hands lately and have been baking&cooking quite a bunch. Tonight I was looking for a chocolate cake recipe in the archives, and I had forgotten that I actually enjoy german chocolate cake, so voila, this is what I made:

Recipe and more behind cut....

Cake recipe+Frosting Recipe (I choose the below frosting recipe because I did want to go out searching for powdered soymilk and wanted to finally used one of the three frosting recipes on vegweb haha):

Frosting Recipe used from vegweb:
Coconut Pecan Frosting

Ingredients (use vegan versions):

1 stick non-hydrogenated vegan margarine (1/2 cup)
3/4 cup vegan sugar
1 1/2 cup shredded coconut
1 cup pecans (didn't feel like using pecans, and they're expensive anywhoo)
1/2 cup vegan soymilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Boil together all ingredients in a medium to large saucepan over medium-high heat for 12 minutes, stirring constantly with a wooden (or plastic) spoon. Pour then spread on cake while frosting is still warm. Let set up for a few minutes before serving (sets up faster if you cover it and place it in the fridge).
*****************I doubled this to use in the filling and it was very gooey and needed tons more coconut. I originally had made pudding for the filling but it never set : ( *******************
