First, the scramble:
A few days ago, someone online (I don't remember who!) told me that to make a really awesome tofu scramble, one needs a mixture of soy sauce and maple syrup, along with turmeric and spicy stuff. So, somewhat doubtful, I whisked up some lite soy sauce and pure maple syrup, added a good amount of ultra-yellow turmeric, some tobasco sauce, and chili powder, and added it to fried tofu and onions. So good! I put it on top of whole wheat toast and added some salsa later.
I'm not sure if this kind of thing is really appropriate for this community - if not, let me know and I'll edit it out. Let me explain what you're seeing here... when my mum goes grocery shopping, she brings the groceries in and puts them on the floor, and then puts everything away. When my cat hears the crinkly plastic bags, he wakes up and paws through all the bags until he finds strawberries! He will try to climb into the bag, so we usually just take them out for him. He then proceeds to rub his face all over the package and just love on the strawberries like a crazy kitty. It's the weirdest thing, but it's so cute. He doesn't actually like to eat them, but he just likes the smell or something. I have video of his weird behavior, but be warned, it's ridiculously cute: click here.
