i made this kick ass granola today. i mostly made it because my husband requested granola bars and didn't expect it to be that great. but it is. i'm eating it plain with a spoon right now. however, i don't have a good recipe for granola bars. does anyone have a suggestion?

3 cups rolled oats
1 cup almonds (i skipped this)
1 cup cashews (i used walnuts)
3/4 cup shredded coconut (i don't like coconut, so i added 1/3 cup sesame seeds, 1/3 cup wheat germ and 1/3 cup ground flax seeds. it's not the same, i know, but i took what i had)
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup raisins

preheat the oven to 250 degrees. combine oats, nuts, sesame seeds, wheat germ, flax seeds and brown sugar. in another bowl, combine maple syrup, oil and salt. combine the two bowls and pour in a thin layer on two cookie sheets. cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes. stir and switch places of the cookie sheets every 15 minutes. add raisins and put in an airtight container.
