Pumpkin Pecan Pie

In a large bowl, mix:

1/2 c water
1/4 c flour
2 tbsp baking powder
1 cup mashed pumpkin
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt

Pour into a 9" pie pan lined with your favorite pie crust. Sprinkle 1 cup pecans evenly on top. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes. Cool completely and enjoy!

This is remarkably like the pecan pie that my mother used to make with eggs. It doesn't taste much like pumpkin pie (except for the cinnamon etc.) but it's really great for those of us who miss the pecan pies of our childhood.
