"Diana's Apple Crisp"



Ingredients:
8 or more apples
juice of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons flour
3/4 cup rasins (optional)
water or apple juice
(topping:)
1 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup toasted wheat germ
1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup oil

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Peel and slice apples until there are enough to fill a greased 9" by 13" baking dish. Mix the apples in a bowl with the lemon juice, cinnamon, flour, and rasins(optional). Return them to the baking dish, adding enough water or apple juice to cover the bottom (not more than 1/4" deep or it will get soupy).
Mix topping in a bowl and press on top of the apples. Bake for 25 minutes or until apples are soft (it usually takes longer for me sometimes as much as 45 minutes, i like them really mushy). Serves 8.

how much apple juice- this is WAY too much! i'm italian, i cant help but overestimate when it comes to food =)
