"Tom's Vegan Reduced-Fat Double Chocolate Brownies":
1 1/4 cup applesauce
1 cup cocoa powder, unmelted, or baking chocolate, melted
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups sugar
1 1/3 cups flour
LOTS of chocolate chips (let's say 2 cups- I would cut it down if you didn't want it to be so chocolately)
Beat the above with a fork until smooth. Pour into a square 8x8 inch pan for traditional square brownies; you can improvise with an 8 inch pie pan. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. (i tested with a fork).
they are gooey and chocolatey, kinda sticky, and pretty much amazing. best when eaten while still warm, or heated up. mmmmmm.
