cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting.

I made cinnamon rolls!

Savory Cinnamon Rolls - from The Garden of Vegan

- 1 1/4 C warm water
- 2 tsp baking yeast
- 3 Tb dry sweetener
- 1/4 C margarine
- 1 tsp cinnamon (next time I think I'll add more)
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 3 C flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 Tb dry sweetener

In a large bowl, stir together the warm water, yeast, and sweetener. Cover and let stand for 10 minutes. In a medium bowl, mix together the margarine, cinnamon, and nutmeg and set aside. Add the flour and salt to the yeast and stir until a dough forms. On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for 3-5 minutes. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until approx the size of a cookie sheet. Spread the margarine mixture on the dough and sprinkle with additional sweetener. Roll up the dough and cut into rolls about 1/2" thick. Place buns in baking dish or lightly oiled cookie sheet. Cover with cloth and let rise in non-drafty area for 2 hours. Preheat oven to 350 F. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool and frost with cream cheese icing.

Cream Cheese Icing
- 1 C vegan cream cheese
- 2 T margarine
- 1 C powdered sugar

Blend all ingredients until smooth. Makes approx 1 1/4 C.
