in need of blender advice

I need to buy a new blender. I do small scale catering, which is moving from once a month to twice a month. (yay for growing vegan business!) When I cater, I make smoothies, usually 20-25 per event. Business is growing, but not fast enough for me to be able to afford a professional grade blender. but i figure i could pay up to 130, and i would like to get something that will last. cuisinart and kitchen aid always seem like safe brands to me.

So since I make a lot of smoothies, I was thinking of getting one of those smoothie blenders. Is it hard to use these blenders for non smoothie purposes? I have no room for one use kitchen tools. and i'm a bit concerned because all of the smoothie nozzles seem to be plastic, and i am wondering if they break easily. but what is selling me on them is they seem to have a more powerful motor. my last blender would leave chunks of ice. not good when you are selling a product! so i am aiming to avoid this with my new blender.

I have been eying up this guy,
but then i wonder if i should avoid the 'smoothie maker' concept and just get a sturdy blender. (and those dual blender/food processors are tempting as well, since I don't yet have a food processor) something like this,

too many choices! any suggestions or advice, what blender have you used and loved??

thanks guys!
