Hi, I went vegan a few months ago and have since moved home and reverted to my old ways. I've noticed, of course, that I haven't been feeling as well both health wise and emotionally, and think that if I would've gotten a better start into veganism that I would've been less likely to backtrack to my old ways.
Can any of you give me some good suggestions of basic vegan foods that I can cook, that don't taste vegan??? I have been starting to eat out and get vegan meals and have noticed all of those times that everything I eat out tastes damn better than what I used to make. I like a lot of mexican foods, or spicy things, I can't stand bland things and I have no idea how to cook vegan foods in a way that makes them fill me up and makes them taste -good-. So please, help me out. =(
I need some help creating a vegan meal plan.
It seems that I am just consuming carbs, and I am not looking forward to gaining weight at all.
So can anyone fetch me good ideas to get protein, vitamins, calcium, ect? I want easy things besides carbs!
my mom recently told me about an article she read that said tomato plants are being genetically modified to include a clam gene. not mentioning all of the oft-mentioned concerns about genetic engineering, my main concern is that i don't consider this to be vegan.
has anyone else heard anything about this? i am having a hard time finding more reliable information. also, i am aware that in europe, genetically modified foods must be labeled as such in grocery stores, whereas in the states they aren't labeled. does anyone know which system canada follows? i know that sugar is refined by vegan standards here, among other things, but i can't find much information about whether or not canada labels genetically modified foods.
thax!!!1 (not only for this...for all the great recipes as well!!!)
