"Oops I messed up the rice" rice balls

Okay, so this recipe came about in an entirely accidental fashion, but it was oh so good!

You will need:

1 cup uncooked rice of choice (I use white basmati)
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup soy margarine
1 1/2 cups water (add more to adjust consistency)
garlic powder to taste (i put a LOT)
salt to taste
whatever other spice you feel like adding that could be good.. to taste..
pepper to taste
1 Tbsp of soy sauce/tamari/braggs (your choice)
1/2 cup nutritional yeast
2 tsp of sesame oil
bread crumbs (i make my own from vegan multi-grain bread)
vegan parmesean cheese

Try it out! It's great when you mess up your rice. Hah. Or even if you have rice left over, I'm sure you can do this with properly cooked rice.. these just stay together better.

Help me save this soup? (Please?)

Last night I made an "autumn soup" from a recipe. It called for sweet potatoes, apples, butternut squash, and sauted onion in vegetable broth, with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and cayenne as spices. I thawed out some veg. broth I made from scrap veggies a while back. That seemed to taste fine. The soup by itself, however, is hardly sensational. I think the author of the recipe was going for sweet/spicy, but it doesn't come across that way. It tastes bitter, actually. I'm just fishing for ideas that might help me save the soup, since it made about 8 cups worth, and that's a lot of vegetables to waste. :( I know that sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and apples baked together would be fantabulous... but now that they've been boiled in veg. broth and spices, I'm not sure what to do with them. Thanks!

I want to make some desserts. I want to go off sugar. I have already stopped eating white flour so I need recipes for wheat.

I know people post a lot about cheese, but I have never read anything about this and was wondering if you guys have ever tried making a White Cheese Imitation Pizza... Pizza is/was like my food and my normal pizza cravings can be satisfied by Veggie Pizza BUT I miss White CHeese... Has anyone tried making it? Are certain imitation cheeses better for making it than others? Is it even DOable and still taste good??

Iranian Stuffed Aubergines (Eggplant) with Coconut & Almond Sauce

I saw someone post the other day asking for a Afghani recipe that had something to do with eggplant. Well this isn't it but their post did remind me of this recipe. It is incredibly good but a lot of work. So it is more one of those meals you would make for a dinner party or similar.

Oh yeah, this recipe originally came from a Vegan Society leaflet. So well enjoy...

(no subject)

So I'm making vegan "smoked duck" for dinner, it's in the oven now with just a bit of soy sauce and sesame oil on it. I'm keeping things simple. I have some frozen rice, and wanted to cook it up to have with the "duck." But I can't decide how I want it. Quick! Anyone have ideas? haha.

somehow or another my bag of miso paste ended up in the freezer. weird.
anyways, what should i do?

should i leave it in the freezer, or can i switch it back to the fridge? is it ruined, what does it *mean* exactly?

i tried googling, but all i can find is info on 'freeze dried miso'
