Hullo everyone, I was wondering about vegan porridge. I haven't tried to make it in years now after my last attempt, but I love the atmosphere of it, and was wondering how you make good vegan porridge? My last attempt was an overcooked tub of soggy oats, and that's a kind way of putting it. What are you supposed to put on the stuff? What ingredients go in to make it nicer? How's it actually supposed to turn out? I like the idea, but the reality is just a bit icky.

1/2 cup non-hydrogenated vegan margarine 1/2 cup natural peanut butter 1/2 cup non-refined vegan sugar 1/2 cup sucanat or vegan brown sugar 2 tablespoons water 1 teaspoon Ener-G Egg Replacer 2 cups flour 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt
What could I use to substitute this margarine and how much? Thanks.
