sesame baked tofu.

this is the first time i've cooked with tofu!
very simple recipe. very easy. and tasty. :)

i just ate the tofu over rice and added some toasted almonds.
the next day when i had it for leftovers i poured coconut milk on top.
yum. :)
next time i make this sesame baked tofu, i want to add some veggies to it or something.
or a sauce (like the coconut milk).

i posted this in my food journal as well, here, with a few bigger pictures. :)

paneer??

Has anyone ever tried making non-dairy Indian paneer? Or know of anywhere that sells it? I'm just dying for some Indian food, and tofu just isn't a satisfying substitute for paneer.

nachos/cinnamon rolls/falafel/milkshakes/junk food

I haven't been vegan for very long, so besides a lot of baking that I had been doing for a long while, and dinners, I haven't gotten a chance to experience the other side of vegan cooking-- all the junk food.

An omnivore friend is staying over tonight and I want it to be a total junk food party, so we're going to make nachos using THIS RECIPE, cinnamon rolls using THIS RECIPE, and falafels using that Fantastic Foods mix.
I don't think I'll have any trouble with those, but I also wanted to make milkshakes which is something I've never done, even as a non-vegan. Vanilla soy ice cream+Oreos=milkshake/McFlurry type thing in a blender? Maybe?
I picked up this huge bottle of Hazelnut syrup flavoring, too, and don't really know what to do with it. The bottle says to make italian sodas or coffee drinks, but I'm thinking plain hazelnut would be boring. Would it be a bad idea to do soda water+flavoring+maybe a chocolate soy ice cream as a kind of float?

So yeah, anything else you guys have fun eating and making that has absolutely no nutritional value (or at least doesn't taste like it?)
Thank you a lot in advance!

Curious: Are there any liquors/alcohol which are considered non-vegan?

Also, just so everyone knows, 8th Continent soy milk is not vegan. (I didn't know if anyone knew or not.) It isn't even vegetarian!
