What foods freeze well?

I'm a bit daunted by my freezer. The only time I freeze stuff is a last minute, 'Oh god! I'm about to lose this food! Maybe if I freeze it it will survive!' thing. I'm trying to come to a mutal understanding/respect with my freezer (and my life :P) and start making big batches of food which I can freeze and just reheat to eat. What freezes well? And how do you reheat it?
