I don't know if other vitasoy products have real milk in them, but I thought I'd post a heads-up about the chocolate stuff so that no one repeats my mistake.
The container looks like this:
edit: It appears that North American Vitasoy is vegan. Vitasoy chocolate soya drink from Hong Kong, however, is not vegan.
...I have no idea about any other countries. Or flavours. The coconut soya milk better still be vegan! *shakes fist*
( Here is how!Collapse )
if not, do you guys have any other vegan Norwegian/Scandinavian recipes?
I posted this in a comment for someone else, and then realized that everyone would love this recipe, so here you go!
Even my vegan-hating brother loved this stuff--its divine.

This would make a great dessert or brunchy breakfast <3
Curried Carrot and Pear Soup
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp curry powder
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 cups vegetable stock
4 large carrots, coarsely chopped
2 pears, peeled, cored and sliced
1 tbsp packed light brown sugar or other dry sweetener
3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
salt and freshly ground black pepper
This soup is delicious at any temperature: hot, cold or room temperature.
I really like the taste. It is something between tart and sweet. But I think it depends on pears. I didn’t expect that this soup soooooooooooooooo cool!!!
