Vegan Feast newsletter by Bryanna Clark Grogan

Does anyone subscribe to Bryanna Clark Grogan's Vegan Feast newsletter? It is $20 a year for recipes not available on her blog or cookbooks (blog here: veganfeast). By the looks of it, it seems to be a lot of meat/cheese substitutes, which I'm not really interested in... but I'd like to know if it's worth it to subscribe for more than that.

buttercream frosting snafu

I tried to make some buttercream frosting this morning with margarine sticks, soy milk, and powdered sugar (all at room temperature). it was going swimmingly until I added a little more powdered sugar, and then it seemed like the margarine began to seperate a bit from the frosting. it actually looked ok and tasted great, but the frosting ended up with a mottled type of coloring, like it was marbled. any idea what caused this? did I add too much powdered sugar and it just broke down the frosting on some level?

Vegan 'bacon' in Australia

Can any fellow Australians here recommend (or point me in the direction of) a vegan bacon-esque product? I know Sanitarium have some slice type things, but as usual, they have egg white in them >_<

It's not that I'm craving bacon or anything specifically... I think it's the salty sandwich addition I'm after. I'd buy stocks in Tofutti if they went public, and there's nothing I love more than a Tofutti slice on a toasted sammie. But the addition of something salty, and perhaps smokey, would just push my tostie joy over the edge of vegan bliss.
