Brown lettuce?

I have a question.

I have some cut up lettuce in a bag that I was using for salad & I was just taking some out to eat. I noticed a little browning around the edges, but there's not so much brown that I thought it was bad. So I searched this community to see if anyone else asked, & didn't find anything. So:

Can browning lettuce make you sick?

I don't want to throw it out if I can still eat it, cos I'm short on money & eat a lot of salad.

"Pot pie"-ish questions.

Ive decided that I really want to attempt to make my own pot pie sort of thing.

I have a few questions about it first though.

I wanted to add some fresh veggies, not frozen, along with tofu and mashed potatoes. So my first question would be:
1.)Do I cook my fillings (aside from mashed potatoes obviously) before I put them into the pie, and into the oven? Or do I let the oven cook these for me?

and my second,
2.)Anyone have any great and successful recipies for the dough that I will need for this pie? And how to place it along the top??

soy cream and mystery quiche

Two things!

1) Suggestions for soy cream usage. I recently purchased two small cartons of soy cream and I want to use it for something extremely decadent - something that's hard to make without cream. Do you guys have any suggestions? Recipes? I was thinking truffles, but you could totally make that with cashew cream... plus I want something way more extravagant.

2) Mystery quiche. I'm looking for a recipe that was posted here on vegancooking years ago. I've searched through the reicpe index but to no avail. It was an extremely good looking quiche or tart type thing with tomato, tofu, pine nuts... possibly spinach. Did anyone save it? The post had a photo included if that helps...
