Jason Mraz's Raw Chocolate Mousse

Never tried this recipe, but I saw it on CNN and thought it sounded good and was happy to see some good vegan/raw publicity!

Mraz's Chocomole Recipe:
Note: This will make a huge bowl big enough for a family of four. You'll want to share this with friends.

Mash up 5 ripened avocados
Add 1 - 2 cups of chopped or blended dates
1 soft cup of raw cacao
1 easy cup of raw carob powder
1 tbsp. vanilla
Add a few long pours of agave nectar to sweeten to liking

Then add half cups of cocoa and keep adding until chocolate taste is right. Careful not to overdo it -- if you add too much, it can get bitter.

Here is the source (including the rest of the article) if anyone is interested.

rebirthoxide's cold defense soup

I've always had a love/hate relationship with getting sick. In the past, getting sick usually meant a day away from school. This scenario plays through, even today, as I have taken leave of work to recover. I suspect, however, that the externalities of getting sick are not the source of my enjoyment. When I'm sick, I can literally *feel* my immune system endorphin rush of sorts...when I'm feverish, I feel as if my body is leeching all toxins out of me through my pores. Call me odd, but I really enjoy it. I rarely get sick (once a year) and so i try to enjoy my "vacation from health" as much as possible.

Alas, even I sometimes desire relief from being host to another organism. Cold medicine, however, is simply not an option for me. (or any self respecting vegan who knows how to cook) In this case I have a particular soup recipe that I like to prepare that really does the trick. Also good for hangovers. It's a recipe heavily adapted from "Please Don't Feed the Bears" (best vegan cookbook ever!)

Chocolate Orange Cookies

so yesterday I experimented with some cookies and they came out, frankly, freakin amazing.
I only made a half batch so this is a recipe for a full batch so it might be a little different, but I luffed* them together anyway so nothing is really 100% accurate.

*my manz says it means to "love something together' as in no measurements, just instinct and love.

I hope you enjoy them, and I might be making a bigger batch later, so I'll try and take a picture. If you DO make them, let me know what you think, suggestions, etc.

added subject line, also changed the amount of cocoa powder from 2 tablespoons to 1/4 cup because I just remade the cookies and actually measured. Also, pictures.
