I'm not normally big on using substitutes but really want to make a good lettuce and pea soup. Is there anything I could use as a creme fraiche substitute to hold the soup together a bit? Particularly something available in the UK.
Also, does anyone know how to make a good cheesecake without using tofu?
ya know how everybody has that one dish they make that is some crazy combination of ingredients, sounds disgusting and/or is a meal their friends make a "WTF" face at?
ya know, like mixing ketchup with nutritional yeast and pouring it over rice noodles... or frying hash browns in beer... or making unclarified prison grade wine in an all vegan method... or my on the go staple of buying bagels from not so vegan-friendly cafes and smearing mustard all over the top...

i want to compile a zine of these "recipes"...and i want each submitter to write it on half of an 8.5 x 11 paper (4.25 x 5.5)...and i want to encourage you to personalize yer page however you choose (drawings, large writing, an anecdote, etc etc)...and i would prefer that you mailed it to me. i want to give you credit too.
