New years eve potluck

Im going to a potluck on new years eve, and i would like to get some ideas on what to bring.
Im used to only pleasing my own taste buds, so i would like to bring something delicious!
This is all vegans, and most of them are used to good food, so i really need a good dish to bring.
It have to be easy to bring, cause im biking, and taking the train, and maybe a bus to, so it really important that the dish will not be messed up by it.
I think there will be plenty of sweets, so i would like to bring some real food.

I have these books: Veganomicon, Vegan with a Vengeance, The Voluptuous Vegan, Vegan Cupcakes take over the world,
And with a little luck My Sweet Vegan will arrive before new years eve.
I also got a few other books (Vegan Express, Uncheese cookbook, Vegan lunchbox, etc)

Im gonna do a test run of the dish before new years eve, so thats why im already thinking about what to bring.
What would you bring?
Crazy random happenstance

Christmas brunch ideas?

Hi everyone,

I know this type of question gets asked pretty frequently, but I am the only vegan (let alone vegetarian) in my family. I'm going home for Christmas and I need recipe ideas for a Christmas day brunch that I can also feed my very midwestern meat and potatoes kind of family.

It would need to be something that could also serve as my entree. And don't worry. I fully plan on making peanut butter cups for dessert :)

Thanks in advance!
