Earth balance margarine in frosting


I'm using earth balance margarine (original, in the tub) for some chocolate frosting. But it almost looks like it's separating. Is earth balance too oily for frosting? Did I do something wrong?

This is the recipe I'm using:

1 cup margarine
4 cups powdered sugar (make your own if you want - blend sugar and cornstarch)
2 tablespoon vanilla
4 tablespoon soy milk
1/2 cup cocoa powder (or more)
dash of salt
