A while ago someone posted about some weird BBQ pork sandwich made with jackfruit (found here).
Recently I saw a can of jackfruit and thought HAZAH! so bought it.
However, it says it comes in syrup, and it also doesn't appear to be baby jackfruit (as the sandwich recipe calls for).

So, do you think it would still be okay if I drained it and patted the excess syrup away?

Otherwise, do you have any other ideas of what to do with jackfruit?

Transitioning to veganism...

Hey everyone! I've been a member of this community for a while now, but wasn't vegan. As of yesterday I'm trying to transition into it. I've never enjoyed eating meat. It's always grossed me out for the most part. I'm a little scared about the switch. Mainly I'm scared because I have a really hard time making decisions and commitments. Another thing I'm worried about is proper nutrition, eating food I enjoy, and doing this all with very little money.

Any tips or advice or just words of encouragement are greatly appreciated!
