How do you eat your polenta?

I got some for the first time and I'm quite undecided if I like it or not. I baked it until light brown  (it had a skin to it but was soft inside) cut it into thin slices.I had cabbage, red pepper, butterbeans, brocilli in a cauliflower sauce on it - beans on toast style. It was alright but I wouldn't choose it over much. I have enough for two servings left and want to make the best of it but since I've never had it before and not heard much about it I can't really judge a recipe which is likely to be good
