Could I ask for everyone's most successful recipe for a béchamel sauce?

I've ben vegan for seven years and still haven't got used to vegan 'cheese' or soya milk. I guess if I haven't by now, the odds are that I probably wont. I haven't tried Daiya though, can I even get that in the UK? Anyway, I really miss lasagne and can't really do a cheeseless version so I think I should probably jump in and try a béchamel with subs.

I quite like Toffuti cream cheese. Could I use that in place of a white sauce?
