1 cup TVP
8 oz tomato sauce
8 oz water
1 package sloppy joe seasoning
chopped onion to taste
Saute a couple of tablespoons of your chopped onion in a medium pan, stir in the TVP, seasoning packet, tomato sauce and water. Keep stirring until all the liquid is absorbed.
Pile onto your favorite bread with your favorite vegan cheese and eat up.
I used a toasted potato bread that I spread with tofutti better than cream cheese (whatever type of 'cheese' you use, put it on the bread first to keep the bread from getting soggy). Garnished with chopped onion.
For a tasty addition, add pickles.
