Grilled Spicy Peanut Tempeh Sammiches
Place 1 package of tempeh, sliced into 2 or 3 sammich sized parts, into a shallow dish
In a small dish, combine about a tablespoon each of:
-low sodium soy sauce
-habanero salsa (or milder if you're so inclined)
-natural peanut butter (none of that corn syrupy, hydrogenated crap)
-raw sunflower seeds
Add a dash of onion powder and some rosemary, and about 1/2 tsp of agave nectar
-Mix it all together, then dump over the tempeh, make sure it gets well coated, and let it sit while you warm up your grill/skillet/broiler/bonfire/car engine/pet dragon's breath
-Once you think it's sat long enough, stick it in/on whichever cooking implement you've chosen to use, and cook it until it's nice and cooked, charred a bit if you like it that way. I like the pretty lines the g.f. grill makes.
-I threw on some green pepper slices and carrots, too. Yum.
When the tempeh's all cooked and no longer squirming (It's probably better if it never was squirming in the first place, check the expiry date.) place it on some bread with some romaine and anything else you like on a sammich, and enjoy!
