I have just bought some lavender flowers, they're from a company that sells herbs and spices, and was wondering if I can use it for baking cookies. The owner of the health food store I got the lavender from said he didn't know, but that people who buy it usually make tea with it. Is it safe to eat? What's the worst that could happen if I cooked with it? In other words, what makes lavender 'edible'?
