So I just made the Jelly Doughnut cupcakes from Veganomicon. While the texture came out awesome, and they tasted good, they didn't taste GREAT. I felt that they had a little too much nutmeg. Has anyone else had this problem? Did I mess up a ratio somewhere? I'm thinking about making them again but with either half the nutmeg or just subbing in cinnamon. Would this work?
