Gluten-Free Herbed Pizza Crust
Makes: one medium pizza
3/4 c. milk (we used rice but could be any vegan milk)
1/2 tsp. brown rice syrup
2/3 c. brown rice flour
1/2 c. tapioca flour (or cornstarch)
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. xanthan gum
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. garlic
1/4 c. EV olive oil
1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
Small bowl with milk and syrup.
Whisk olive oil and vinegar together.
The dough should be soft and pliable (add cornmeal?).
Knead gently on floured surface for about a minute.
Roll or pat dough into a 12-inch round, place on a pizza stone or lightly oiled pan.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven, add toppings and bake 15-20 longer, or until the crust is lightly browned.
