Is this even possible? I'm intolerant to soy, don't consume alcohol, and have another soy-intolerant friend who is allergic to bananas, so I'd like to find a recipe for vegan egg-nog that would work with those restrictions. I've never made any kind of egg nog from scratch before, so I'm not sure really what the best ingredients to try are. Cornstarch? Arrowroot? Pureed soaked cashews? All of the soy-free recipes i've seen call for a frozen banana, so that's where I'm stumped. If I can't figure it out, I will succumb to deliciousness and drink 100 gallons of soy nog this winter, but I'd rather not be ill 24/7. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton!
