Lentil pastry things

I was in the mood for a heavier type of appetizer, something along the lines of sausage rolls, but without fake meat. I made this instead for a party. They were gone instantly. Which is great for something easy and cheap.

Rough measurements. I don't measure anything.

1 cup dried lentils (I used green)
blob of margerine or olive oil
2 smallish onions
1/2 red pepper
1/2 very large portabello cap
squirt of hot sauce
sprinkle of curry
sprinkle of cumin
store bought phylo pastry sheets
glob of salsa

Boil lentils and drain.
Saute mushroom, onion and pepper in margerine
mix lentils, veggies and enough salsa to make it a bit sticky together and add cumin, curry and hot sauce to taste.
spray sheets of phyllo with olive oil, fold in half and cut in four
spoon a big tablespoon of lentil mix and fold it all up.
stick it in the oven at 350 for about 20 minutes or until it gets a bit golden.
eat. But don't burn your mouth.
