The "And I thought I had Digestive Problems BEFORE" Awesome Sammich

Last week, I wanted to really impress my boyfriend with my sammich making skills. As I used to work in a bagel shop, and frequently made up my own sandwiches, I figured "Hey, why not?". It was made to go along with some home made pumpkin sweet potato carrot soup that I had done the day before.

Now here's the warning: this sandwich is not healthy. At all. It might even give you some digestive issues. It's full of processed crap, but it's pretty quick and darned easy to make. How many sammiches do you know of that come with a warning?

(Serves two)

What you'll need:

The "patty":
1/4 tube of Gimme Lean Ground Beef Style
1 tsp vegan worcester sauce
a couple of dashes of garlic powder
a couple of dashes of onion powder
a dash of salt
a drop or two of liquid smoke
ground pepper
1/2 tsp of apple cider vinegar

The dressing:
2-3 T of vegan mayo
1 T of hot sauce
2 T of relish with juice
2 tsp of mustard
salt & pepper to taste

The other things:
6 slices of LightLife Smart Bacon, fried crisp
Four slices of whole wheat or other hearty bread, toasted lightly
Hand full of baby spinach leaves
4 slices of tomato
some sliced onion (optional)

Make the patties:

Mix together worcester sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, liquid smoke, pepper, and vinegar. Then use your (oiled) hands to mash in the Gimme Lean, kneading until well incorporated.

Form them into two fairly thin patties, and fry them up on each side until cooked through and a little crispy (the apple cider vinegar should help with the crispy)

Make the dressing:
Whisk together all of the dressing ingredients until incorporated

Assemble your sammich in this order:
Piece of toasted bread
spread some dressing on it
arrange a hand full of baby spinach leaves on the dressing
put the patty on it, then put the bacon on that
top it off with a couple of slices of tomato and onion
then put some sauerkraut on it
more dressing
other slice of toast

It's really messy. And delicious.
