Sauce challenge!

I am a grad student with a part-time job and a dislike of cooking, so I tend to opt for REALLY quick and easy meals. read: sandwiches, pasta, soups, stir fries...

My favourite quick meal is to toss whatever veggies are in the fridge and steam them or fry them and add a sauce. If I have a lot of time I'll make a coconut curry, but often I don't and I'll just add pasta sauce and call it a day. I'd like to expand my repertoire!

SO what are your favourite sauces to have with veggies? Stipulations:
* easy to make
* quick to make
* do not require many (or any!) specialty ingredients - I have nutritional yeast and some spices, but few herbs. I have no idea what to do with those.
* do not use soy sauce as a main ingredient, I am not a fan
* it would be nice if it were relatively healthy, but you know how it is... if it tastes amazing I'll overlook it
* did I mention easy to make?

Thanks guys! Though I am not a fan of cooking I am adventurous as far as my taste buds go, so don't hold back :D

EDIT: forgot to mention that I'm in Canada, so no Trader Joe's or Whole Foods
