Flavoring Soymilk

If I have plain lite soy milk, and the recipe calls for regular vanilla, would I just add vanilla extract to what I have? If so, how much? (Or would it be too watery if I use the lite?)

If it's at all relevant, I'm planning on doing this Creamy Cardamom Rice Pudding
