help me convert NZ metric to US measurments?

hi guys! i'm planning on making some angelfood marshmallows for a taste test in a few weeks, and the recipe is in metric! ack!!! i don't have metric measuring spoons/cups. according to it looks like the relationship between cup/tsp&tbsp are similar in both "international" and US measures, so it should be fine, right? (or am i totally off the mark there?)

1 tbsp = 3 tsp = .0625 in both measurements. 1 cup = 48 tsps or 16 tbsps? (except maybe not in liquid measurements? aaack!)

i'm talking to alice from angelfood, and she graciously offered to weigh out the individual ingredients for me. (how awesome!?)

i don't know if my scale is accurate to a gram. i know it has the option to measure grams, and it's accurate to ounces, cause the post office's scale is spot on with mine, but i suppose if i'm measuring EVERYTHING out by weight, then it'll be consistently off, and so it should still work even if it's not accurate, right? eek!

here's the recipe in case you want to brainstorm.

8¼ teaspoons marshmallow ‘A’ mix*
10½ teaspoons marshmallow ‘B’ mix*
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup water
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup water (each for separate stages of the recipe)
2 teaspoons (10ml) vanilla essence

* the mixes are powders

ML is an international measurement, right? so that should be easy.
