A little while ago I asked for help on whether to thaw frozen tempeh or fry it right away etc. and I feel pretty dumb asking about this again, but apparently I have some issues with tempeh. So, this morning I took the package out of the freezer and tossed it in the fridge thinking I'd make it for lunch. I didn't end up making until tonight, and now that I'm eating it, I'm getting worried it might have gone bad. I'm probably just paranoid, but I had it in the freezer for about two months (i think..) and it was defrosted this morning, and it tastes stronger than any tempeh I've had before. I'm not sure if it's because it kept fermenting as it was thawing in the fridge all day or because it was in my freezer for so long... The package says it's seaweed flavoured, but it's so salty and strong, it tastes like what I remember really strong blue cheese tasting (sorry for mentioning a dairy product but that's the only thing I can think of that tastes like that, and of course I don't want anyone to eat cheese of any kind, yuck). So... I don't hate the taste, I just don't want to be horribly sick tomorrow, any thoughts? Do you think it went bad?
(I googled it and saw that if it's orange or green it's bad, but there's no way to tell if there are other weird colours on it now, it's cooked and covered in sauce, I don't think it had weird colours on it, but I'm not 100% sure.)
