My mom is making a coconut cream pie for xmas, and she's willing to veganize it if possible. The way she's making it is by using a "cook and serve" pudding mix made by Jello. She read all the ingredients to me over the phone and everything seems fine.

My question is that will it work the same to make it with soy milk? I looked through the memories and didn't really find what I was looking for. Basically I want to hear from people who have actually tried to do it, I don't really want speculation on what would happen, if that makes sense. I want to hear actual things that you've tried.

She's willing to do this and not tell my stepdad, so I don't want her to ruin it if it doesn't work.
